Old Town Albufeira is 40 minutes walk if you up to it, or 10 minutes by car. Apolonia, Aldi and Lidl Supermarkets 10 minutes by car. Several restaurants right around the corner
Car is recommended if you planning to explore the Algarve coastline, water parks, zoos, beaches and Golf courses.
Locally, if you like to walk, you can comfortably reach several beaches such as Sao Rafael, shops, restaurants and the old town. the old town Albufeira is a must visit (10 minute drive or 40 minute walk).
If you want to avoid car rental, the Uber service is inexpensive and works very well. Local bus service runs outside the apartment building from Gale Beach to Albufeira. The Big red city sightseeing tour bus stops at the NAU Hotel opposite Tommy's bar (5 minute walk).
Vilamoura and Portimao harbor, golf and entertainment are a 20 to 30 minutes drive.
